Lutz Woman Killed In Crash On U.S. 41
A Lutz woman has died after her car was struck by a van on U.S. 41 at about 10 a.m. Monday, March 26.

LUTZ, FL – A Lutz woman has died after her car was struck by a van on U.S. 41 at about 10 a.m. Monday, March 26.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Connie Raye Sands, 54, of Lutz was driving her 2003 Pontiac Sunfire west on Horton Road when she made a left onto U.S. 41.
At the same time, Guillermo Fernandez, 51, of Lutz was driving his 2017 Dodge van north in the center lane of U.S. 41 approaching Horton Road.

According to state troopers, Sands turned into the path of Fernandez’ van. She was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa where she died.
Fernandez was treated for minor injuries.
