LUTZ, FL — A 39-year-old Lutz woman has died after driving the wrong way on Interstate 275 Saturday, Oct. 12.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:44 a.m. Aryail Marie Gomez of Lutz was driving a Mazda CXS south on the northbound Interstate 275 when she collided head on with a car driven by Brittany N. Castilleja, 30, of Brandon.

Gomez died at the scene. Castilleja was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with serious injuries.
