Man Accused Of Raping 13-Year-Old Girl At Birthday Party

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 33-year-old Wesley Chapel man has been arrested after being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl during a birthday sleepover.

Sandy Vasquez has been charged with sexual battery of a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, Pasco County Sheriff's deputies said the girl was at a home in Wesley Chapel for a friend's birthday party sleepover. Vasquez gave her alcoholic beverages and then forced her into a bedroom where deputies said he raped her. Three people walked into the bedroom and witnessed the encounter.

Vasquez was taken to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center where his bond was set at $150,000.
