Neighbors Find Peace After Arrest Of Lawnmower Man

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL β€” Residents of a Zephyrhills neighborhood are enjoying a good night's sleep following the arrest of a man they said repeatedly woke them up by revving the engine on his riding tractor lawn mower.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office arrested Robert Wayne Miller, 57, of Ruth Avenue and charged him with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after he failed to heed warnings to quit working on his lawn mower engine while his neighbors were trying to sleep.

Deputies said the engine noise could be heard three houses away, but Miller told them he didn't care and resumed working on the engine of his tractor mower.

One neighbor said the noise was waking his sleeping infants and wife who suffered from heart issues. Two other neighbors said the revving engine was keeping them awake as well.

When deputies ordered Miller to come outside his property, which had a "No Trespassing" sign on locked gate, they said Miller ignored them and walked into his house.

He was subsequently arrested.
