Pasco Man Critical After Being Stabbed 12 to 15 Times

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- A Pasco County man remains in critical condition after being stabbed 12 to 15 times by someone he met through Facebook.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Blake Butler for attempted homicide for the Monday, Sept. 3, stabbing of Cody Reilly, 22, in the 6400 block of Buckhead Court in Wesley Chapel.

Detectives said Butler created a fake Facebook account and began talking with Reilly, who thought Butler was a woman. The two agreed to meet up and, when Reilly arrived at the residence, he said he was jumped from behind and stabbed.

Reilly was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Deputies searched the area with K9’s and helicopters but did find Butler.
