Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver; Troopers Seek Witnesses

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking the public's help to find a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.

On Saturday at 3:32 a.m., Alonzo Norton, 46, of Zephyrhills was walking on 6th Avenue east of Armstrong Street when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle that fled the scene.

Norton died at the scene.

Debris from the left front fender well indicates the vehicle was a 2003-05 Honda Pilot.
