PHSC To Break Ground On Performing Arts Center In Wesley Chapel

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- Pasco-Hernando State College will host the groundbreaking for a new instructional performing arts center on the grounds of Cypress Creek Middle High School.

The community is invited to attend the celebration on Tuesday, April 23rd at 8:30 a.m. at the school, 8701 Old Pasco Road in Wesley Chapel. Musical entertainment and food will be provided.

The new Instructional and Performing Arts Center (IPAC) will provide educational opportunities as well as a community entertainment venue. It is slated to open in the fall of 2020.

The IPAC facility will benefit students from middle school through college through a variety of programs such as theater, dance, multimedia technology and digital design. It will offer community event space, a performing arts space, and provide educational opportunities for students including dual enrollment and future PHSC students currently attending local middle and high schools.

The IPAC also offers the community a new state-of-the-art performing arts venue, which will attract regional and national festivals and performing arts events.

Guest speakers will include PHSC President Dr. Timothy Beard, Deputy Superintendent Ray Gadd, as well as students involved in the performing arts.
