Pickup Truck Demolishes Camper With Couple Sleeping Inside
It was a close call for a couple who were asleep in their camper trailer in Zephyrhills near Morris Bridge Road and Leisure Days Drive.
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL -- It was a close call for a couple who were sound asleep in their camper trailer in Zephyrhills near Morris Bridge Road and Leisure Days Drive.
Pasco County Sheriff's deputies say the driver of a red Ford F150 pickup truck was intoxicated when he lost control, crashed through a fence and struck the camper at 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.
The couple was not injured. However, the truck and camper were totaled. Dakota Joe Weicht, 21, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
