Mother Made Teen Walk Down Street Naked As Punishment: Sheriff

DADE CITY, FL — A Dade City mother is facing felony child abuse charges after reportedly forcing her 13-year-old daughter to walk naked down a street.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, around 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, Rosalie Contreras, 34, of the 14000 block of 14th Street, drove her daughter to Townsend Road near Old Lakeland Highway in Dade City. Then, as punishment, she made the teen strip nude and walk down Townsend Road.

When another car drove into view, Contreras ordered the teen to get back in the car, then slapped her daughter in the face, punched her in the back and twisted her breasts, Pasco County Sheriff's deputies said

The teen said her mother was angry at her for misbehaving.

Contreras told deputies she struck her daughter as discipline. Deputies said the teen had bruises and red marks.

Contreras was arrested and taken to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center Friday morning and is being held on a $20,000 bond.
