Sinclair Hills Road Closing Tonight for Emergency Repairs
A stretch of the road will be closed for nearly a month for drainage repairs.
Motorists trying to travel on Sinclair Hills Road may need to take a different route starting tonight.
Hillsborough County plans to close the road from West Lake Burrell Drive to North 12th Street for emergency cross drain repairs starting at 7 tonight, Aug. 24.
The project is expected to take until Sept. 21 to complete, said county spokesman Steve Valdez.

Residents who live in the area of the closing will be detoured on to neighboring roads, so they can reach their homes, Valdez said.
The detour starting tonight is from Sinclair Hills Road to West Lake Burrell Drive to East 162nd Avenue to North 15th Street to Sinclair Hills Road. The route might be altered as the project progresses, Valdez said.

The cross drain on Sinclair Hills Road has failed, which is why the project is anticipated to take some time, he added.
“This is a big job,” Valdez said.
