Tampa Family Health Centers Opens New Facility In Lutz
Services offered at the health center include family medicine, pediatrics, women's health, behavioral health, dental and retail pharmacy.

TAMPA, FL — To commemorate the opening of its new state-of-the-art health center on Bearss Avenue, Tampa Family Health Centers hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the facility at 1212 E Bearss Ave., Lutz.
Services offered at the new 11,500-square-foot health center include family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, adult and pediatric dental and retail pharmacy.
“This new medical office will offer personalized, convenient and affordable services in a growing community,” said Sherry Hoback, president and CEO at TFHC. “Not only will it help us better meet the needs of youth and families, it will extend our dedication and commitment to Tampa Family’s mission which is to provide quality, caring and accessible health care to a culturally diverse community.”

TFHC uses a patient-centered approach to provide a range of integrated healthcare services under one roof. The new facility is in partnership with Mort Elementary, a Community Partnership School, to provide comprehensive health and wellness services to students, families, teachers and school staff, in addition to the surrounding community.
The Bearss Avenue location is designed around the needs of children and families to enhance the overall well-being of patients by alleviating barriers to care, such as having to miss school or work for appointments.

“This $5.7 million dollar investment in the community is an amazing step forward in our 25-year commitment with Mort Elementary, a Community Partnership School, and community partners,” said Hoback. “This project has been years in the making, and I’m excited and proud to finally announce its opening.”
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, TFHC offers affordable services based on a sliding income scale, and partners with community organizations to connect patients with food, shelter, financial counseling and assistance programs.
The Bearss Avenue health center is TFHC’s 15th facility in Hillsborough County, and has created 30 new local jobs.
As a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, Tampa Family Health Centers offers 15 medical offices, telemedicine options, and mobile medical and dental units.
