Tampa Walmart Supercenter To Reopen After Extensive Remodel

TAMPA, FL — Tampa residents will get a first look at the newly remodeled Walmart Supercenter at 8220 N. Dale Mabry Highway following the completion of the much-anticipated project.

The remodel includes several department transformations including the expansion of store navigational tools that will help customers save time.

A grand reopening event will take place Friday May 20, beginning at 9 a.m. The event will feature a DJ and giveaways from Walmart vendors including Rockstar, Goya, Coke, El Latino, Red Bull and others while supplies last.

“Our customers will see a big change with this remodel. Our store will be easier to navigate and we will now have more parking spaces in our Online Grocery Pick Up,” said Vanna Reyes, North Dale Mabry Walmart store manager. “I am excited because this store really is a store of our community — our associates and customers live and work in the area, and they will notice a modern and fresh new look to the store."

Store improvements include:

• New signage, including digital signs in the deli and bakery, fixtures, LED lighting and flooring throughout the entire store for better line of sight and easier navigation
• Refreshed interior and exterior, including paint, signage and polished floors throughout the store
• Modern, remodeled bathrooms
• A new Walmart Vision Center that offers an assortment of quality eyeglasses and sunglasses with prescription lenses
• Front end transformation with increased numbers of self-checkout lanes
• Expanded Online Grocery Pick Up areas both inside and outside the store

Walmart will continue to offer customers amenities to save time and money including:

• The pickup option, giving customers the convenience of shopping online and the ease of quickly picking up groceries without leaving their cars with no fee.
• Walmart’s convenient delivery, with contact free pickup and delivery.
• Express delivery, allowing customers the option to have their deliveries made in under two hours.
• Walmart Pay, a touch-free way to pay.
