U.S. 41 Closed Northbound During Friday Rush Hour

The northbound lanes of U.S. 41 are closed at Lutz-Lake Fern Road.

According to @TampaBayTraffic’s Twitter feed, traffic is backed up past the apex of Florida and Nebraska avenues this evening, March 22. That Twitter feed is piloted by Meredyth Censullo, ABC Action News’ traffic reporter.

Facebook is also blowing up with reports about a helicopter landing in the area.

Neither the Florida Highway Patrol or the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office have released information about the snarl at this time.
