Video Released Of Wesley Chapel Hit-And-Run Driver
The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help to find a hit-and-run driver who killed a Wesley Chapel bicyclist.
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- The Florida Highway Patrol is hoping a home surveillance video will lead to the arrest of a hit-and-run driver who killed a Wesley Chapel bicyclist.
Just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 48-year-old Hans Mentro was bicycling north on Boyette Road, just north of Vienna Woods Lane, when a vehicle crashed into the rear of his bike. Mentro died at the scene.
Troopers said the driver fled the crash scene. The FHP has released the surveillance video and is asking anyone who recognizes the vehicle to call (813) 558-1800.
