Two Wesley Chapel residents were killed and a 17-year-old boy is in serious condition following a crash on State Road 56 Wednesday.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Two Wesley Chapel residents were killed and a 17-year-old boy is in serious condition following a crash on State Road 56 Wednesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:49 p.m., a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by a 52-year-old Wesley Chapel man was headed east on State Road 56 while a 2017 Honda Accord driven by a 17-year-old Wesley Chapel teen was headed west on SR 56.
At the intersection of Lajuana Boulevard, the Nissan Rogue turned left into the path of the Honda.

The impact flipped the Nissan Rogue over and both the driver and his passenger, a 56-year-old woman, were thrown from the sports utility vehicle. They both died at the scene.
The 17-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
