Wesley Chapel Man Dies After Car Strikes Barricade, Catches Fire

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- A 21-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning when his car collided with a concrete construction barricade and caught fire.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:59 a.m. on May 26, Anthony John Boyer of Wesley Chapel was driving a 2001 Aston Martin east on State Road 56 approaching Meadow Point Boulevard when he failed to stop. Instead, he continued through the intersection and multiple "Road Closed" signs before colliding with the barricade.

He died at the scene.
