Pilot Killed In Wesley Chapel Plane Crash Identified
The pilot in Tuesday's plane crash has been identified as 61-year-old Thomas Saxon of Madeira Beach.
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL —The Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner’s Office reported that the pilot killed in a small plane crash in Wesley Chapel Tuesday has been identified as 61-year-old Thomas Saxon of Madeira Beach.
The Federal Aviation Administration is still investigating the cause of the crash.
According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, the single-engine Beechcraft plane crashed at 11:30 in a neighborhood backyard in the Grand Oaks subdivision. No one else was injured.

The plane was headed to the Tampa North Flight and Rental Center landing strip off Wesley Chapel Boulevard when it crashed.
Saxon was a skydiver, former Madeira Beach city commissioner and vice president of Logical Choice Aviation N711ja.
