Wiregrass Student’s Artwork To Be Displayed At U.S. Capitol
Anna Speer, a junior from Wiregrass Ranch High School, was selected as the 2020 winner of the Congressional Art Competition.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Anna Speer, a junior from Wiregrass Ranch High School, was selected as the 2020 winner of the Congressional Art Competition for her oil painting, "Reflections."
The Congressional Art Competition recognizes and encourages artistic talent among high school students in Florida's 12th Congressional District.
Speer's painting will hang in the U.S. Capitol over the next year. She was nominated by her teacher, Paula Roush-Smith.

Also honored was Nathan Wang of Land O’Lakes High School, who won an Award of Merit. He was nominated by teacher Matthew Paltoo.
Honorable mentions went to Sarah Evans, Kara Galley and Kiley Gambrel-Groover, all of of J.W. Mitchell High School, who were nominated by teacher Donna Fulton.
