Zephyrhills Man Dies In Single-Car Crash On U.S. 301

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL —A 23-year-old Zephyrhills man has died in a crash on U.S. 301 south of State Road 56.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:15 a.m. Sunday, Alexander Delaney Hiscock, 25, of Zephyrhills was driving a Chevrolet 1500 north on U.S. 301 when he lost control, left the road, entered the grass shoulder and then over-corrected and crossed back over the road into the southbound lane. He over-corrected a second time, causing the vehicle to rotate back onto the shoulder and hit a tree.

His passenger, Derrick Winton Allen Beers, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he died.
