Zephyrhills Woman Accused Of Beating Ex-Girlfriend With Lava Lamp

A 29-year-old woman was arrested after she was accused of breaking into her ex-girlfriend's home and hitting her with a lava lamp.

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL — A 29-year-old Zephyrhills woman was charged with burglary and aggravated battery after she was accused of breaking into her ex-girlfriend's home and hitting her on the forehead with a lava lamp while she was sleeping.

According to Pasco County Sheriff's deputies, Chanel Nicole Hall of Lawanda Loop was arrested after the victim reported that Hall broke through the front door of her home on State Road 54 in the early-morning hours and struck her on the forehead with the lava lamp, causing a gash that required three stitches.

The two women were in a relationship for about 10 months before breaking up.

Also this week, a 72-year-old Hudson man was arrested after his wife accused him of putting a kitchen knife to her throat because she didn't spend enough time with him.

Romeo Canto-Chable of Chief Drive was charged with aggravated assault on Tuesday after deputies said he lost his temper and threatened his wife because she was always on the phone with a female friend.

The wife ran to the bathroom, locked herself in and called 911.

The couple have been married for 12 years.
