Zephyrhills Woman Killed In Single-Car Crash On State Road 56

PASCO COUNTY, FL —A 58-year-old Zephyrhills woman died Tuesday when she crashed on State Road 56 west of U.S. 301 Tuesday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:58 p.m., the woman was driving a pickup truck at a high speed east on State Road 56 when she lost control and overcorrected, causing the pickup truck to overturn in the median.

The driver and two passengers were ejected from the pickup truck.

The driver, who has not been named, died at the scene. Two passengers - a 34-year-old woman from Tampa and a 64-year-old man from Zephyrhills - are in serious condition.
