• Miami Gardens Police K-9 found safe nearly a week after going missing, officials say (wsvn.com) — A Miami Gardens police K-9 that bolted from a patrol vehicle during a call has been found safe nearly a week later, according to city police. Officials say Gael may have been hit by a car but is now back home, and they thanked Miami Gardens residents whose tips helped bring the dog back. Details on where he was located or any injuries are still pending.
   

• Amazon, cargo carrier knew of safety failures before fatal Miami airport crash, lawsuit claims (wptv.com) — A wrongful death lawsuit over the Amazon Air cargo crash at Miami International Airport is moving forward, and one of the pilots named is a first officer who lives in Miami Gardens. The suit alleges Amazon, its contractor 21 Air, and several aviation companies ignored safety warnings before the jet overran a runway and hit a van, killing a worker. Pineda's family is seeking significant damages under Florida's Wrongful Death Act.
   

• She Was Mad as Hell and Had a Bucket of Poop to Prove It (lawenforcementtoday.com) — A bizarre and disturbing dispute at a mobile home park near Miami Gardens ended with a woman accused of forcing her way into a neighbor's trailer and dousing her with a bucket of feces over a suspected affair. Deputies arrested the 50-year-old on burglary and battery charges, while she later claimed she was only trying to dispose of the waste from a broken toilet.
