10-Foot Python Found On Washing Machine In South FL: Key West Police

Key West residents were surprised to find a 10-foot-long python on their washing machine Saturday morning, police said.

KEY WEST, FL — A 10-foot-long python was found on a washing machine at a Key West home on Saturday morning, Key West Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

The department's 'resident snake wranglers' - officers Gaby Kouri, Monica Calvert, and Jenny Young - responded to the Georgia Street home to capture and remove the python, police said.

It was was turned over to the Florida Keys SPCA "without incident," KWPD wrote.

"Neither the snake or officers sustained any injury,” according to the agency.
