2-Foot Iguana Found in Miami Toilet
When a Southwest Miami-Dade homeowner opened the lid of their commode, they discovered a 2-foot long iguana splashing about.

MIAMI, FL — A Miami area homeowner found an interesting surprise in her toilet earlier this week. The homeowner discovered a 2-foot iguana splashing about. Not knowing how to handle the critter, her daughter called in the experts at Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
The agency in turn sent out the department's Venom One unit, which typically gets called out to deal with reptiles of the more dangerous variety. (Sign up for our free Daily Newsletters and Breaking News Alerts for the Miami Patch.)
The call came in at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday from a home at SW 66 Street and 107 Court.

"I didn't know if it was going to jump out," Gisele Quintero told a television news crew. She got a call from her mother that something terrible was in the toilet and alerted first responders. "It sounded silly to call 9-1-1. So, they kept asking 'is this an emergency?' Well, not really but we'd like to get this removed."
