$5.4 Million in Upgrades Approved for M.A. Milam K-8 Center
The upgrades include the replacement of the P.E. shelter, playground and play court improvements.
MIAMI, FL — The Miami-Dade School Board approved $5.4 million worth of improvements for the M.A. Milam K-8 Center in Hialeah.
The improvements, which are scheduled for completion in spring 2020, include the replacement of the P.E. shelter, playground and play court improvements.

In addition, the work will also cover portable demolition and site restoration, HVAC improvements, restroom renovations, electrical enhancements and painting, according to Daisy Gonzalez-Diego.

The project falls under a general obligation bond that was overwhelmingly approved by voters in 2012 to renovate, remodel and replace schools, expand student capacity, enhance safety and provide technology upgrades, Daisy Gonzalez-Diego said.
