$5 Million Florida Lottery Prize Claimed By Broward County Man
A 68-year-old Fort Lauderdale man won the top prize after playing the $5,000,000 CASHWORD scratch-off game.
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — A 68-year-old Fort Lauderdale man won the $5 million top prize from the $5,000,000 CASHWORD scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery said in a news release.
Raymond Cineus chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3.915 million. He claimed his prize using a secured drop box at Florida Lottery's Miami district office.
He purchased his winning ticket from the Publix located at 9300 Commercial Blvd. in Sunrise. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

$5,000,000 CASHWORD, a $20 game, launched in May and features eight top prizes of $5 million and 24 second-tier prizes of $1 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-2.79.
