85 Pounds Of Shrimp Stolen From FL Keys Storage Facility: Sheriff
A man faces multiple charges after stealing 85 pounds of shrimp and other items in the Florida Keys, Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.
FLORIDA KEYS — A 52-year-old Stock Island man faces multiple charges for stealing 85 pounds of shrimp and other items from a storage facility, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Felipe Fonseca was arrested Sunday and charged with burglary, larceny, possession of burglary tools and damage to property, the agency wrote in a Facebook post.
The owner of the shrimp contacted the sheriff’s office around 10 a.m. after finding the lock to their storage facility on 5th Avenue had been broken off.

In addition to the shrimp, a Garmin GPS unit, a trim tile unit for an outboard engine and an air pump were also stolen, MCSO said.
Deputies reviewed security footage from the facility and identified Fonseca from previous encounters with law enforcement. He was found shortly after this and arrested, the sheriff’s office said.
