Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida officially wrapped up the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie™ season as girls across South Florida sold more than 1 million boxes of cookies, generating more than $6.3 million in total sales. As a result, more than $850,000 in proceeds is returned directly back to the troops to help support troop activities including community service projects, outdoor adventures, travel opportunities and leadership experiences.

Each year, the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world, empowers girls to develop essential skills in goal setting, money management, decision-making, people skills and business ethics. In addition to fan favorites, this year, the girls had anadditional sales opportunity with the introduction of the new Exploremores™ cookie.

The business skills the girls develop are crucial, particularly since 46% of female K-12 students in Florida do not perform on grade level in math and 13% fewer girls met grade-level math standards in the year following the pandemic, as highlighted in the Girl Scouts of Florida Association’s State of the Florida Girl Report.

“Every cookie season reminds us of the limitless potential within every Girl Scout,” said Lisa Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. “The Cookie Program is a powerful, hands-on learning experience that builds confidence, leadership and essential life skills. At a time when girls need strong support systems more than ever before, we are proud to provide opportunities that help them grow into the leaders our communities and our world need.”

Three exceptional Girl Scouts led the region in sales this year, collectively selling 21,949 boxes of cookies. Amelia P. of Troop 24341 in Palm Beach County sold 11,554 boxes, the highest total in Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida history. Charlotte R. of Troop 20609, also in Palm Beach County, sold 5,325 boxes, and Kailani T. of Troop 64000 in Okeechobee County sold 5,070 boxes.

In addition, 212 Girl Scouts earned “Extreme Team” status for selling at least 1,000 boxes, with their combined sales accounting for 339,584 boxes, nearly 32% of total sales for the season. Girl Scouts who sold 2,000 boxes or more will be recognized at a special CEO Extreme Team celebration at Lion Country Safari in April.

The community once again came together to support service members through the Cookies for the Military program, donating 43,228 boxes to troops stationed domestically and overseas. The program’s top seller was Ruby I. of Troop 41217 of St. Lucie County, who sold 1,104 boxes to support the initiative. Girl Scouts who sold more than 200 boxes for the military will participate with Forgotten Soldiers Outreach in April to fill care packages with the donated cookies that will then be sent to military members.

In recognition of their hard work, 2,955 Girl Scouts earned free membership for the 2026–2027 Girl Scout year by selling at least 100 boxes.

Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, thousands of girls across Southeast Florida continue to gain real-world entrepreneurial experience while making a meaningful impact in their communities. To learn more about Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, visit https://www.gssef.org/.
