Palmer Trinity School Opens New STEM and Innovation Center

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Celebrates State-of-the-Art Learning Environment for Innovation, Collaboration and Ethical Leadership

On Monday, August 25, 2026, Palmer Trinity School celebrated the official opening of its new STEM and Innovation Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Located in Building 3, the 6800-square-foot, state-of-the-art learning environment was designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and ethical innovation.

The new Center gives students access to advanced technologies that support a growing curriculum in AI Literacy, computer science, engineering, biomedical science, robotics, design, entrepreneurship, and advanced AP and IB coursework. It houses industrial-grade 3D printers, laser-cutting equipment, VEX Robotics systems and drone technology, enabling students to design, build, program and test their own creations.

It will serve as a home for Palmer Trinity's award-winning Drone and Solar Car teams, as well as new Middle School Drone and Submersible Robotics teams launching this year. Middle School students will have the opportunity to work with MATE ROV underwater submersible technology, designing remotely operated vehicles and applying engineering, and problem-solving skills to real-world aquatic and environmental challenges.

Another major addition to the school's STEM program is the Anatomage Table, a university- and medical-school-level interactive 3D visualization system that enables students to explore three-dimensional human anatomy, conduct virtual dissections and examine complex anatomical structures in real time.

The Anatomage Table will support instruction across Life Science, Biology, AP Biology, IB Sports Exercise and Health Science, and Palmer Trinity's Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science courses, including Human Body Systems and Medical Interventions.

"It is our aim to not only embrace and celebrate innovation but also teach students how to think critically about them, use it responsibly and understand where machine capability ends and the irreplaceable human advantage begins. We hope they will use what they learn here to lead, not simply with knowledge and skill, but with humanity, integrity, and heart."

The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the start of an enhanced chapter of STEM education at Palmer Trinity School and reflects the school's continued commitment to preparing students to shape a future that is innovative, thoughtful and deeply human.
