Being ill & stuck in the hospital is tough especially for kids. We're hoping these from @Macys & @miamishelter bring kids smiling faces. pic.twitter.com/b1bh2oMCMH

Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus presented its annual winter wonderland, Children’s Holiday at North, on Saturday, Dec. 10. Festivities included Santa’s grand arrival from the North Pole along with Mrs. Claus and a parade of Santa’s little helpers, several Disney characters and marching bands. Children also greeted Santa and snapped a picture with him by his chimney. Other highlights include a 12-foot mountain of snow where children were treated to a new outdoor experience of South Florida style sledding. The United States Postal Services also celebrated Christmas with a holiday stamp dedication ceremony of a new stamp featuring a traditional Nativity scene.
On Monday, Dec. 12 the Miami Police Department partnered up with Macy’s to bring holiday cheer to Holtz Children’s Hospital, 1611 N.W. 12 Ave. Their mission was to put smiles on the faces of every child there as Miami Police officers passed out holiday gifts. The event was part of the “Adopt a Floor Program Gift for Kids” at the Holtz Children's Hospital.
