MIAMI BEACH, FL—The Bitcoin Conference is staying in Miami, and it's moving to a new venue for 2022 (no, not to the moon).

The event, called the "world's largest" Bitcoin conference according to a news release, is scheduled for April 6-9, 2022 at Miami Beach Convention Center.

The 2021 conference was held at Mana Wynwood and drew more than 12,000 investors and financial technology leaders. Attendees put an estimated $3.3 million in local economic impact. Next year's expected attendance is 30,000, according to the news release.

“Their commitment to moving the event to the Miami Beach Convention Center is proof positive that the significant investments made to the convention center have been worthwhile and the economic impact of these events to our community cannot be overstated," Talbert said in a news release.

This year was the first year the Bitcoin Conference was held in Miami. In 2019, the conference was in San Francisco. It was scheduled to be in Los Angeles in 2020, but was postponed because of COVID-19.

The MBCC team and our City Center Campus are absolutely thrilled and excited to host the Bitcoin 2021 Conference. We look forward to being the center of gravity for this international event and building memorable experiences for its guests,” said Freddie Peterson, Spectra's general manager of the Miami Beach Convention Center, in the news release.
