Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Christopher Pecori, part of the Venom One Response team, responded to a call about “a sizable python” just afternoon, the agency wrote in a Facebook post.

Pecori recognized that “the formidable serpent,” which weighed about 40 pounds, was actually a boa constrictor,” MDFR wrote. “Skillfully capturing the snake, the officer safely secured it in a large tarp.”
