Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Broward County is recruiting young professionals to join the BIG League. Members will come together to build community, grow professionally and change the game for Broward’s youth through mentorship and service.
The BIG League is hosting a “draft party” to recruit new members on Thursday, April 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bar Betty speakeasy in The Sunness Supper Club at 2465 E. Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Admission and on-site valet parking is complimentary, but advance RSVP is required.
Enjoy light bites, interactive networking, great drinks at the cash bar and fun draft-inspired moments while learning more about BBBS’ mission, the organization and what it means to join the BIG League. Throughout the evening, guests can participate in raffle drawings for exciting prizes.
The BIG League is designed to strengthen the future of BBBS of Broward while building meaningful connections with emerging leaders across the county. Through mission-driven events, hands-on service experiences and personal and professional growth with like-minded individuals, the BIG League introduces young professionals to the BBBS mission of cultivating a community committed to changing the lives of youth.

Joan Kwon Glass is a diasporic Korean poet, winner of the 2024 Perugia Press Poetry Prize for her book Daughter of Three Gone Kingdoms &amp; Night Swim, winner of the Diode Book Prize. Joan’s poems have been featured or are forthcoming in POETRY, The Slowdown, Passages North, Poetry Daily, Terrain, Ninth Letter, Rattle, AAWW (The Margins), Poetry Northwest, Tahoma Literary Review, Prairie Schooner &amp; elsewhere. She teaches &amp; lives near New Haven, CT.
Clayre Benzadón (she / they) is a queer (bi /pan) Sephardic (Mizrahi)-Ashkenazi poet, educator (adjunct professor) and activist.
