Better Together is breaking down employment barriers by hosting a series of background-friendly job fairs across the country as part of its Nationwide Days of Second Chances. In Miami, a job fair will be held Thursday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Miami Vineyard Community Church, located at 12727 SW 122nd Ave.&nbsp; 
To support job seekers who are faced with challenges to re-entering the workforce, Better Together’s Days of Second Chances brings churches, volunteers, businesses and nonprofits together to host a coordinated job fair that features background-friendly employers and provides resources including free one-on-one job coaching sessions to review resumes and interviewing skills, clothing and haircuts. Child care is also available for job seekers with children.

The 2026 Lexus Corporate Run, presented by First Horizon Bank, South Florida’s most highly anticipated annual 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk, will once again wind its way through the streets of Downtown Miami. Now in its 41st year, “South Florida’s Largest Office Party” is open to employees of businesses, corporations, government agencies, financial institutions, and non-profits, regardless of company size. The event features a competition recognizing men’s, women’s, and coed teams across 18 industry categories, as well as a T-shirt contest. Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to join. Beginners can walk with colleagues and build motivation to improve their health, while competitive runners can lead their corporate teams to victory. 
 
As part of the race series, $1 from each participant will be donated to United Way.
