Dolphins Assistant Coach Resigns Amid Snorting Video
Chris Foerster said in a letter to the team that he accepted full responsibility for his actions.

MIAMI, FL — An assistant coach with the Miami Dolphins resigned Monday after a video surfaced on social media of him snorting what appeared to be a white substance. Chris Foerster said in a letter to the team that he accepted full responsibility for his actions.
The Dolphins accepted the resignation and said they had no tolerance for such behavior.
“I am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions," Foerster said in the letter. "I want to apologize to the organization and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals.”

Head Coach Adam Gase said the team had to move on after celebrating its 16-10 win against the Tennessee Titans at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. It was the team's first home game following Hurricane Irma. "That's the NFL man. It's a league of distractions," Gase said. "It's not a good situation. It wasn't something that you expect. But things happen sometimes that you don't anticipate. We have to deal with it. It's not fun, especially when you are close to somebody. But you've got to take the next step and move on because we're going to play on Sunday."

The Dolphins released a statement on Monday saying that the team was made aware of the video Sunday night. The video was posted on Deadspin and other media websites. Foerster was an offensive line coach.
“We were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behavior," according to the team statement. "After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately. Although Chris is no longer with the organization, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time.”
