Dolphins Draft Defensive End Charles Harris
The University of Missouri player shores up the pass-rushing capability of the FIns ahead of the 2017 season.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Miami Dolphins chose defensive end Charles Harris for their first pick in the NFL draft on Thursday. The Dolphins had the 22nd overall pick on what was the first day of the draft. Harris brings a much-needed pass rushing capability to the Fins ahead of the 2017 season.
A two-time second team All-SEC selection during the 2015-16 season, Harris hails from the University of Missouri. The announcement of his selection came shortly before 11 p.m. as many Miami fans celebrated the at a Dolphins draft party at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
In addition to shoring up their pass rushing capability, the Fins are also expected to add competition at the guard position and find another young cornerback, according to NFL.com.

The Dolphins will have the 22nd overall pick in Round 2, the 33rd pick in Round 3 and the 22nd, 35th and 41st picks in Round 5.
