The amber alert was issued Wednesday morning for Amelia Martinez, who had been last seen Tuesday morning in the 4900 block of SW 148th Avenue in Davie.

She was thought to be with her mother, 34-year-old Arys Martinez of Davie, though authorities haven’t said who she was with when she was found.

They were thought to be traveling to Orlando at the time the alert was issued.

Amelia’s grandmother dropped her at Little Hands in Learning, a daycare at 4961 SW 148th Ave., around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.

Her father, Jacob Howard, picked Amelia up around 1:40 p.m. and gave her to an unknown person, likely her mother, DPD said.

Both Howard and Arys Martinez have had their parental rights terminated and Amelia is in ChildNet’s custody.
