HAWAII — A Miami Beach couple was arrested in Hawaii after presenting fake COVID-19 vaccination cards for themselves and their children Aug. 11.

Through the state’s Safe Travels program, visitors are required to present a vaccination card when arriving in Hawaii to avoid a quarantine period.

The South Florida couple — Enzo Dalmazzo, 43, and Daniela Dalmazzo, 31 — presented their fake documents after arriving in Honolulu, NBC Miami reported.

An observant airport screener noticed that their children, who were born in 2016 and 2017, were too young to have received the vaccine, reports said.

Only one vaccine brand, Pfizer-BioNTech, has been approved for emergency use in the United States for children 12 and older.

Both Enzo and Daniela were charged with falsifying a vaccine card. Daniela is facing two additional counts related to the fake documents submitted for their children, reports said.
