FL Rapper Led Police On High-Speed Jet Ski Chase In Miami Waters
Jacksonville rapper SpotemGottem faces charges in Miami after leading police on a jet ski chase, reports said.
MIAMI, FL — Jacksonville rapper SpotemGottem was arrested in Miami and faces charges after leading police on a jet ski chase Sunday.
The 20-year-old musician, whose real name is Nehemiah Harden, was charged with reckless operation of a boat, fleeing police, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated assault, according to NBC Miami.
He was speeding on a jet ski near Miami Marine Stadium and doing “S” turns near anchored boats when police patrolling the area tried to pull him over, WESH reported. Instead of complying, Harden sped away, swerving through boats and swimmers, after they turned on their lights and sirens.

This isn’t his first brush with the law. In 2017, when he was 15 years old, he was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon and grand theft auto in St. John’s County, according to Action News Jax.
In July of 2021, Harden was arrested at an Aventura hotel after being accused of pulling a gun on a parking attendant at a Miami Beach parking garage in a dispute over an $80 fee, Newsweek reported.

In September 2021, the rapper was the victim of a Miami road rage incident, TMZ said. He was the passenger in a car that was shot at while driving south on I-95. He was shot in both legs, while the driver of his car was shot in the hip.
Harden’s 2020 single “Beat Box” peaked at No. 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 6 on the Billboard’s U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
