Palm Beach Police Investigate Flyers Telling ‘Woke’ New Yorkers To Leave: Report
Someone left flyers on cars with New York license plates in Palm Beach telling "woke people" to leave Florida, reports said.

PALM BEACH, FL — Flyers targeting “woke” New Yorkers were left on cars in Palm Beach over the weekend.
The flyers were left on cars with New York license plates and read, "If you are one of the those ‘woke’ people — leave Florida. You will be happier elsewhere, as will we.”
Capt. Will Rothrock with Palm Beach police told Fox News, "The Department was notified on Sunday by concerned community members. We looked into this issue and ultimately determined it was a non-criminal matter. We have no further comment or expected updates on it at this time."

In a political context, “woke” means being “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice,)” according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
Some conservatives use it as an insult against liberals, though. In a Fox News interview last year, former President Donald Trump, who now lives in Palm Beach at his private club Mar-a-Lago, said “that woke means you’re a loser.”
