Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Miami-Dade

Parts of Miami-Dade County have been placed under a flood advisory until 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

MIAMI, FL — The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for parts of Miami-Dade County on Tuesday. The advisory was to remain in effect until 6:45 p.m. The watch covers north-central Miami-Dade County until 645 pm. .

"Urban and street flooding possible," warned the National Weather Service in Miami.

A flood watch is issued when conditions are favorable for flooding. It does not mean flooding will occur, but it is possible, according to the National Weather Service.

A flood advisory is issued when flooding is not expected to be bad enough to issue a warning. However, it may cause significant inconvenience, and if caution is not exercised, it could lead to situations that may threaten life and/or property, the National Weather Service said.
