Helicopter Crashes Off Shore Near Miami Beach: Police
Video released by Miami Beach police shows the helicopter losing altitude before crashing dangerously close to nearby swimmers.
MIAMI BEACH, FL — Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday after a helicopter crashed into the ocean near Miami Beach and dozens of swimmers, according to police.
The crash happened just after 1 p.m., police said. The helicopter, a Robinson R44, crashed between 10th and 14th Streets, CBS Miami reported, citing the Federal Aviation Administration.

Three people were on board and two were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment, police said. No other injuries were reported.
The beach from 9th to 11th Street is currently closed, police said. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
