MIAMI, FL — Two men were shot by a coworker during a workplace dispute at Miami International Airport Thursday evening, Miami-Dade police said in a news release.

Jackson Etienne, 31, was charged with two counts of battery/aggravated assault with a firearm.

An argument broke out between four employees in a cargo warehouse around 7:15 p.m. When the confrontation turned physical, Etienne produced a gun, firing it several times and hitting two of the men, police said.

According to the arrest affidavit, the argument was over Etienne’s “harassing advancements” of the sister of one of the men shot. She also works for the airport.

The men were brought by family members, who are also airport employees, to a nearby hospital for treatment. They were later transferred to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.
