Memorial Day 2017: What's Open and Closed

Find out what's open and closed in the Miami area this Memorial Day.

MIAMI, FL — Banks and most government offices will be closed on Monday but you'll find plenty of shopping and dining opportunities around the Miami area that will be open for business on Memorial Day 2017. Movie theaters will also be open as will most area tourist attractions.

We were surprised to learn that City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will be conducting regularly-scheduled garbage, bulk trash and recycle pick ups on Memorial Day.

City of Miami residents whose garbage, bulk trash and recycling are always collected on Mondays should place their items out as they normally do.
