Miami Car Crash: 3 Women Extricated

3 women were injured in a car crash early Wednesday morning when a KIA SUV collided with a Honda Accord.

MIAMI, FL — Three women were injured in a car crash early Wednesday morning when a KIA SUV collided with a Honda Accord. The accident occurred just before 2 a.m. at Biscayne Boulevard and NE 82nd Street. All three victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

"Fire crews arrived to find El Portal and North Bay Village police officers on scene assisting three patients injured in the accident — two women inside a Honda Accord with the driver pinned, and one female driver of a KIA SUV who was also trapped inside the vehicle," Capt. "Miami firefighters set up two extrication operations to free the trapped women using the Jaws of Life," he added.

The three victims were between the ages of 20 to 45.

"The intersection was closed for more than an hour while police conducted the investigation," Carroll added.
