11 Students Sickened At Kinloch Park Middle School
The students ingested an unknown substance on Tuesday and were acting strangely, according to school officials.

MIAMI, FL — The number of students sickened at Kinloch Park Middle School on Tuesday has climbed to 11. A spokeswoman for Miami-Dade County Public Schools told Patch that all of the affected students ingested an unknown substance and were acting strangely. Eight of the 11 students were taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
Jaquelyn Calzadilla of Miami-Dade County Public Schools said that the number of affected students increased from eight earlier in the day.
"The student who brought the substance has been identified and will be disciplined according to the code of student conduct," Calzadilla said.

She added that fire rescue was called to the school.
"The students were exhibiting strange behavior in class so fire rescue was dispatched," Calzadilla added.

Kinloch Park Middle School. is located at 4340 NW 3rd Street. The school has 840 students in grades six through eight.
Capt. Ignatius Carroll of Miami Fire Rescue told Local 10 News that the children appeared to have taken "some kind of pill.
