Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders: 2017 Final Audition
Patch brings you our exclusive photo gallery of the final audition for the 2017 Dolphins Cheerleaders from the Hard Rock Live.
HOLLYWOOD, FL — They're confident, poised, talented, and they almost never forget to smile even when our team is having a rough day at the office. Some 70 Miami area women took to the stage of the Hard Rock Live on Sunday for one last chance to convince a panel of judges that they had what it takes to become Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders. Thirty-eight finalists were sent on to the squad's 2017 training camp and the others left with memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Unlike the earlier auditions, the final was open to Dolphin fans for the added pressure of performing in front of a live audience. Patch was there too to bring you an exclusive photo gallery of the final Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders audition at the bottom of this article. "I want to see them too," she acknowledged.
The finalists who moved on will participate in a seven-week boot camp that consists of workouts, etiquette training, team building, uniform fittings, look development and performance training. Cuts are still possible during the training camp period.
Of the finalists, 48 advanced from the team's Miami auditions while another 10 came from the first-ever Orlando auditions. The remaining finalists were returning cheerleaders, who must compete each year that they wish to remain on the squad.
Meanwhile, 12-year-old Daniel of Lake Worth was taking in the event with his mother while enjoying a bucket of popcorn. His family has had season tickets to the Dolphins for at least the past four years.
"It was good. It was interesting," said Daniel, who was wearing a Cameron White jersey.
Asked whether he preferred his salty snack to the Dolphin cheerleaders, he insisted: "Probably the popcorn," to which his mother was quick to add, "Which is good because he's only 12."
Wait until next season.
