Miami International Experienced Security 'Incident' on Concourse J
Reports said that travelers were evacuated from parts of the airport in a late-night scare.

MIAMI -- Miami International Airport officials confirmed on Tuesday that there was a security incident involving a suspicious package.
The incident occurred late Monday and continued into the early morning hours of Tuesday at Concourse J.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday the airport's official Twitter account carried a message that "Incident at J concluded. All clear."

Airport spokesman Mark T. Henderson could not immediately be reached for comment but told Patch later on Tuesday that a suspicious package resulted in the closing of a TSA checkpoint at Concourse J as Miami-Dade police responded.
CBS4 reported that officials had ordered the evacuation of the surrounding areas on the first and second floors.

The airport tweet also said that airport access roads would return to normal and thanked people for their patience.
Airport officials urged travelers to allow extra time if they were going to the airport.
