Miami Man Accused Of Stabbing Girlfriend, Injuring Her Son: Report

Per a media report, the Miami-Dade man partially severed his girlfriend's ear.

MIAMI — A 24-year-old Miami-Dade man who was accused of stabbing his girlfriend and wounding her 11-year-old son at a South Dixie Highway apartment is now facing charges, news outlet Local 10 reported Friday.

The outlet reported Demar Turruellas was arrested Thursday and was charged on suspicion of two counts of first-degree attempted murder and one count of aggravated child abuse.

The woman suffered cuts to her neck and face while her left ear was partially severed in the suspected attack, Local 10 reported, citing Miami-Dade Police.

Her son's neck was bruised, and he had a puncture wound on his head, the outlet said, citing a police report.

Jail records show Turruellas remained in custody Friday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
