Miami Marathon Road Closures
Police warn motorists to expect numerous road closures on Sunday.

MIAMI — Some 25,000 runners and walkers are expected to hit city streets on Sunday for the annual Miami Marathon and Half Marathon.
Motorists should expect multiple street closures throughout the morning into the afternoon, according to Miami police, who said that most of the roads should reopen by about 1 p.m.
The race was to commence at 6 a.m. outside AmericanAirlines Arena.

From there, runners were to head over to Miami Beach via the MacArthur Causeway, up Ocean Drive, over the Venetian Causeway and as far south as Coconut Grove.

Police from Miami, Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County will be positioned along the course to assist with road closures.
Motorists should take the Julia Tuttle Causeway into and out of Miami Beach during the race.
